abstract The present invention relates to a novel nitrate-reducing bacterium and a method for removing nitrate nitrogen from sewage using the same, and more particularly, LOCVC in the genus Acinetobacter, a bacterium capable of growing at high pH and reducing nitrate. KCTC 11969BP) and Acinetobacter genus LOCVC strains for the removal of nitrate nitrogen from domestic sewage or wastewater. The novel nitrate reducing bacterium according to the present invention is a bacterium LOCVC (= KCTC 11969BP) of the genus Acinetobacter, and when it is used, it grows at a high temperature of 45 ° C. and removes nitrate nitrogen from urban sewage while growing at a high pH of 10. This can be usefully applied.
