abstract |
Compositions and composites have improved adhesion with additives. The composition and thus the composite, comprise one or more substrates formed from the composition, comprise a resin and additives added thereto. This resin is an organic polymer resin and is a silicone hydride functional group without ethylenic unsaturation. The additive is selected from the group consisting of fluorine-substituted organopolysiloxanes, amino functional organopolysiloxanes, unsaturated carboxylic acids or carboxylates or combinations thereof. The additive also includes hydroxylation reaction groups that appear on the surface of the substrate for reacting with the additive. This improves the adhesion of the additives to the substrate. Substrates and additives are combined to form a composite. |
