abstract The present invention relates to a polarizer, a polarizing plate, and a method of manufacturing a polarizer having excellent durability and orientation. More particularly, in a polarizer in which iodine is adsorbed on a polyvinyl alcohol-based film, at least a part of the iodine is inserted into a carbon nanotube. Providing a polarizer, which is the iodine-carbon nanotube composite, and a polyvinyl alcohol-based film, immersing the polyvinyl alcohol-based film in an aqueous solution containing iodine and dyeing, and the polyvinyl alcohol-based iodine adsorbed Stretching a film, wherein at least a portion of the iodine relates to a method of manufacturing a polarizer wherein the iodine is an iodine-carbon nanotube composite embedded in a carbon nanotube. According to the present invention, a polarizer having excellent optical properties and durability and a polarizing plate including the same may be manufactured using an iodine-carbon nanotube composite in which iodine ions or molecules are inserted and arranged in carbon nanotubes.
