abstract |
A polypeptide useful for developing a reagent or medicament suitable for use in the prevention and treatment of ischemic diseases, such as diseases caused by atherosclerosis, is disclosed. The polypeptide contains at least a portion of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1, and its expression level is enhanced in blood vessels of mammals which are out of the ischemic state due to blood vessels perfusion. |
