abstract | A single polarization mode locked laser generator capable of energy regulation is disclosed. The single polarization mode locked laser generating apparatus according to the present invention adjusts at least one of a focal length of a lens for concentrating a laser light to a SESAM functioning as a saturation absorber, a power of a pump laser light, and a reflectance of an output coupler to be incident on the saturation absorber. The influence defined by the energy density per unit area of the laser light is set to be greater than the reference influence which is the energy density per unit area of the laser light incident on the saturated absorbing part when the reflectance of the saturated absorbing part is the maximum value. According to the present invention, an energy adjustable single polarization mode locked laser can be generated without the formation of multiple pulses. |
