abstract The present invention relates to an adult stem cell line into which a hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) gene and a basic helix-ring-helix (bHLH) -type neurogenic transcription factor gene are introduced, a method for producing the adult stem cell line, and a nervous system including the adult stem cell line. A composition for preventing or treating a disease, and a method for preventing or treating a neurological disease, the method comprising administering the composition to a patient with a neurological disease. By using adult stem cells in which the hepatocyte growth factor gene and the basic helix-ring-helix-type neurogenic transcription factor gene according to the present invention are introduced, chronic disability due to apoptosis following stroke can be overcome. It can be developed as a therapeutic agent or widely used for clinical and various studies such as being the basis of cell replacement therapy and gene therapy therapy applicable to stroke, neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease and spinal cord injury.
