abstract |
The present invention relates to energy recovery in the production of sulfuric acid, and more particularly to improved energy recovery from absorption of wet SO 3 in sulfuric acid. The invention further relates to controlling mist formation during SO 3 absorption and controlling the sulfuric acid mist content of the gas stream leaving the SO 3 absorption step in a process in which the SO 3 absorption energy is recovered from the absorbing acid in a useful form. |
