titleOfInvention Eye Detection System and Its Operation Method
abstract An eye detection system for the safe detection of a subject's eye position evaluates the distance from the eye detection system to the subject and, if the subject is too close to the eye detection system, determines the output level of at least one major light source of the eye detection system. Decrease. If the subject is not too close to the eye detection system, the output level of at least one primary light source of the eye detection system is increased if the output level is below a predetermined maximum output level. Primary light from at least one primary light source reflected from this object is sensed from the imager to obtain one or more images from which the eye position of the object is evaluated.
