abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide an agent for treating and preventing a gastrointestinal disorder. Peptides whose amino acid sequence is represented by Ser-Ser-Ser-Arg or salts thereof as medicaments thereof are useful as therapeutics or prophylactic agents for digestive diseases because they promote wound healing of gut mucosal tissue. In addition, (a) the salt is an amino acid sequence the peptide or accepted as its medicinal represented by Ser-Ser-Ser-Arg, (b) amino acid sequence of the peptide or its represented by Phe-Gly-Leu-Met- NH 2 When administered in combination with acceptable salts as medicaments, these drugs can act synergistically to significantly promote wound healing of gut mucosal tissue. |
