Single or homogeneous patterned implants are provided. The implant consists of a patterned cell formed by molding, die casting, laser etching, laser cutting, extrusion, or the like. Portions of the implant are formed of sinusoidal or other corrugated strut members to control and promote stretching, expansion or contraction along a single or multiple axes. Such controlled and specified stresses, torsional and compressive distributions are promoted along specific or local areas of the implant. |
