abstract |
According to one embodiment, the semiconductor light emitting device includes a light emitting portion and a wavelength converting portion. The light emitting portion is configured to emit light. The wavelength conversion portion is provided on one main surface side of the light emitting portion. The wavelength conversion portion contains the phosphor. The wavelength conversion portion has a distribution of the amount of phosphor based on the distribution of wavelengths of light emitted from the light emitting portion. |
