abstract |
The present invention relates to the use of immunotherapy against oxidized LDL to induce regression of existing atherosclerotic lesions in a subject. Immunotherapy can be passive immunotherapy with antibodies that bind to epitopes present in the oxidized LDL, or active immunotherapy with vaccines for inducing an immune response against epitopes present in the oxidized LDL. |
