In the present invention, the average particle diameter (D50) based on the volume of the secondary particles is 3.0 to 25.0 μm, and the half width (W) of the peak in the particle size distribution based on the average particle diameter (D50) and the volume of the secondary particles is W ≦ 0.4. The present invention relates to nickel, cobalt, and manganese-based compound particle powders satisfying D50, and can be obtained by simultaneously dropping and neutralizing a solution containing a metal salt and an alkaline solution in an alkaline solution, followed by precipitation reaction. The nickel-cobalt-manganese compound particle powder of the present invention is useful as a precursor of the positive electrode active material used in nonaqueous electrolyte secondary batteries because of its uniform particle size, low fine powder, high crystallinity and large primary particles. |
