abstract | The present invention relates to a method for diagnosing high-quality beef produced using high molecular meat markers closely related to marbling of Hanwoo, and to developing genetic molecular markers for predicting and determining the genetic qualities of Hanwoo. The aim is to provide genetic diagnostic methods that can be used to improve the accuracy of early selection and individual assessment. More specifically, the present invention relates to individual cattle by using PCR-RFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) using a specific SNP present in the intron 3 region of the Hanwoo PDE1B (phosphodiesterase 1B) gene. By detecting DNA markers according to SNP genotypes, a method of diagnosing and selecting an individual having the most preferred genotype (AG type) as a good Hanwoo individual having a high genetically high intramuscular fat has been provided. |
