In a light emitting device, there is provided a novel heterocyclic compound that can be used as a host material for dispersing a light emitting material of a light emitting layer. The heterocyclic compound represented by general formula (G1) is provided. In the formula, A represents a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzothiophenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted dibenzofuranyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted carbazolyl group, and R 11 to R 19 each independently represent hydrogen and carbon number. An alkyl group of 1 to 4 or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group having 6 to 13 carbon atoms is represented, and Ar represents a substituted or unsubstituted allylene group having 6 to 13 carbon atoms.
