titleOfInvention DNA Aptamer specifically binds to alpha-fetoprotein and uses thereof
abstract The present invention relates to a DNA aptamer capable of specifically binding to alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and its use. The DNA aptamer of the present invention has the property of specifically binding to AFP, a marker protein of liver cancer or germ cell tumor. Therefore, the DNA aptamer of the present invention can be used not only for detecting AFP but also for diagnosing or prognosticting liver cancer and germ cell tumor by measuring the level of AFP. The DNA aptamer of the present invention can replace the AFP binding antibody which is utilized for the diagnosis of liver cancer, and is expected to be able to diagnose liver cancer and germ cell tumors more quickly and economically.
