abstract | The present invention is generally directed to an anti-ice composition comprising a liquid anti-ice agent which is an aqueous solution of an ice making salt and an additive providing reduced corrosiveness and an increased residual effect. Aspects of the present disclosure specifically relate to the use of such anti-ice compositions as liquid anti-ice or anti-icing agents. The anti-ice composition further comprises a solid anti-ice, such as sodium chloride, wherein the liquid anti-ice and the additives are mixed with the solid anti-ice to form a pre-humidant when forming a pre-humidified anti-ice. |
