There is provided a coating composition comprising a photocatalyst composite and a silicone resin, wherein the content of the photocatalyst composite is from about 1 to 70% by weight, based on the total weight of the coating composition, wherein the photocatalytic composite contains an insulating material and a photocatalyst material. . Provided is an energy saving material comprising a film formed from the coating composition of the present invention on at least one of the substrate and the surface of the substrate. Energy saving materials can effectively block infrared (IR), substantially lowering the room temperature and reducing power consumption. In addition, in the presence of a photocatalyst capable of absorbing ultraviolet light, the material exhibits excellent superhydrophilic and self-cleaning properties and provides antibacterial and deodorizing effects. |
