Method for producing an aromatic carbonate from the dialkyl carbonate of the present invention is characterized in that it comprises the step of reacting the aromatic hydroxy compound and the dialkyl carbonate in the presence of a catalyst represented by the formula (1): [Formula 1] (In Formula 1, R is an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an aryl group having 6 to 12 carbon atoms, l is an integer of 0 to 4, m is 0 or 1, n is an integer of 0 to 4, provided that l, except that m and n are both 0, l + n = 4 if m is 0 and l + n = 2 if m is 1. |
