abstract An amine flux composition is provided comprising an amine fluxing agent represented by the formula (I) as an initial component. Also provided are methods of soldering electrical contacts using this amine flux composition. Wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are independently hydrogen, substituted C 1 -80 alkyl group, unsubstituted C 1 -80 alkyl group, substituted C 7 -80 arylalkyl group and unsubstituted C 7 -80 arylalkyl group; R 7 and R 8 are independently C 1 -20 alkyl group, a substituted C 1 -20 alkyl group, a C 6-20 aryl group and a substituted C 6 -20 aryl group or, or R 7 and R 8 are , together with the carbon to which they are bonded, form a C 3 -20 cycloalkyl ring optionally substituted by C 1 -6 alkyl group; R 10 and R 11 are independently C 1 -20 alkyl group, or selected from a substituted C 1 -20 alkyl groups, C 6 -20 aryl group and a substituted C 6 -20 aryl group, or R 10 and R 11 is , together with the carbon to which they are bonded, form a C 3 -20 cycloalkyl ring optionally substituted by C 1 -6 alkyl group; And R 9 is selected from hydrogen, C 1 -30 alkyl group, a substituted C 1 -30 alkyl groups, C 6 -30 aryl group and a substituted C 6 -30 aryl group.
