titleOfInvention | Delivery device with sensor and one or more cannula |
abstract | The present invention relates to a base part for a drug delivery device. The base part is secured to the skin of the patient in use and connected to the cannula part, the cannula part being at least partially positioned subcutaneously. The base part is connected to a sensor unit capable of sensing one or more components such as glucose in the patient's blood. The base part has a fastening means 15, the fastening means 15 being releasably connected to the base base part when using the reservoir / delivery part, the first fluid corresponding to the first fluid path exiting from the reservoir. The path or means allows flow of fluid between the reservoir / transfer part and the base part when the reservoir / transfer part is attached to the base part, and the first fluid path when the releasable reservoir / transfer part is not attached to the base part. Means 17 are provided for obstructing fluid flow and for opening the fluid path 19 when the transfer part is attached to the base part 1. The base part 1 comprises a lower mounting surface 2 and two or more subcutaneous units 7 in the form of at least one cannula and at least one sensor part or at least two cannulaes. Further provided with one or more openings 12A, 12C, which 70 extends, and subcutaneously positioned cannula 22, 22a when using a flow of fluid from the outlet of the first fluid path 19. It has a second fluid path that allows it to enter the 22) and has a signal path provided from the reservoir / transfer part to the sensor contact part. The second fluid path is in fluid communication with the end opening of the cannula located subcutaneously in use. |
