abstract The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing lung cancer, comprising a preparation for measuring the methylation level of the GADD45G gene promoter, and a diagnostic method using the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a composition for diagnosing lung cancer according to the methylation of CpG island of the GADD45G gene promoter and a method for diagnosing lung cancer by measuring the methylation level. Since methylation of the CpG island of the GADD45G gene promoter of the present invention is specifically expressed in lung cancer cells, a composition comprising an agent for measuring the methylation level of the present invention may be usefully used for diagnosing lung cancer.
