abstract The present invention relates to a backlight unit having a local dimming structure capable of split driving, wherein the reflector has an optical sheet and a reflecting portion having a reflecting surface inclined at an angle from a horizontal plane parallel to the surface of the optical sheet, and disposed on at least one side of the reflecting portion. And a light source for transmitting light to the reflecting surface of the reflector, the plurality of submodules being arranged in at least one of a first direction of the horizontal plane and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, and adjacent to each other of the plurality of submodules. It may include a coupling unit for connecting the sub-modules.
