Heat curable or heat-activated compositions containing surface-inactivated polyisocyanates |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a curable composition comprising at least one particular blocked amine, at least one surface-inactivated polyisocyanate that is solid at ambient temperature, and optionally water or a water-generating material. Compositions of this type are characterized by very high storage stability unless they are heated. Thus, a thermosetting composition that cures under the action of heat can be prepared. Heat-activated compositions can also be prepared. When heat is applied, the heat-activating compositions are not cured but are activated, so that they can cure under the influence of moisture. The curable composition is particularly suitable for use as an adhesive. |
