abstract |
The present invention provides culture apparatus and methods useful for the detection of acid-producing bacteria in a sample. The apparatus includes a pH indicator and nutrient medium for detecting and discriminating acid-producing microorganisms such as lactic acid bacteria. Methods of use include detection or counting of acid-producing microorganisms. The method further provides for the detection of gas-producing acid-producing bacteria. |
