abstract This invention provides the transparent film excellent in the scratch resistance of the back surface, and the surface protection film provided with the said transparent film. The transparent film 10 has the base material layer 12 which consists of transparent resin materials, and the back layer 14 whose thickness is 1 micrometer or less formed in the 12A of 1st surface. As for the transparent film 10, the fracture starting load of the back layer 14 in a scratch test is 50 mN or more, and the friction coefficient of the back layer 14 is 0.4 or less.
