FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates generally to the field of molecular biology, and is directed to plants by regulating expression in plants of nucleic acids encoding polypeptides that increase yields selected from the group consisting of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC), Class III U-Box protein and PQQC protein. It relates to a method for improving the yield-related traits of. The present invention also relates to a plant in which the expression of a nucleic acid encoding a polypeptide that increases a yield selected from the group consisting of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC), a Class III U-Box protein and a PQQC protein is regulated. Yield-related traits are improved over other control plants. The invention also provides constructs useful in the methods of the invention. |
