To provide an effective method for producing an ester compound efficiently at a reaction temperature lower than the reaction temperature according to the conventional method using a cheap formic acid ester as a raw material. In the presence of a catalyst system containing a ruthenium compound, a cobalt compound, and a halide salt, an ester compound is prepared by reacting an organic compound having at least one unsaturated carbon bond in a molecule with a phosphate ester. |
