abstract | The present invention relates to a recombinant microorganism having improved butanol producing ability and a method for preparing butanol using the same, and more particularly, to a recombinant microorganism which biosynthesizes butanol using 2-ketoisovalerate, a precursor of L-valine, as an intermediate. It relates to a method for producing butanol. Recombinant microorganism according to the present invention is a microorganism having the ability to produce 2-ketoisovalerate, a precursor of L-valine, a gene encoding VorABC enzyme, an enzyme converting 2-ketoisovalerate to isobutyryl-CoA, isobutyryl-CoA to butyryl-CoA A gene encoding a converting enzyme, a gene encoding an enzyme converting butyryl-CoA to butyraldehyde, and a gene encoding an enzyme converting butyraldehyde to butanol are introduced. Recombinant microorganism according to the present invention is conventional Clostridium Unlike acetobutylicum , it is easy to grow and has a high possibility of strain improvement due to additional metabolic flow manipulation, so it is useful as an industrially-producing microorganism of butanol because it has a high possibility of strain improvement by additional metabolic flow manipulation. 2 Simplifying the conversion of -ketoisovalerate to isobutyryl-CoA has the effect of providing a recombinant microorganism with improved butanol production. |
