Antisulfate and Antioxidant Proteoglycan Antibodies and Uses thereof |
abstract |
The present invention relates to biotechnology and in particular to new products for use in human health. The present invention provides novel characteristic monoclonal antibodies which have a high affinity with sulfatides and sulfated proteoglycans. The antisulfatides and anti-sulfated proteoglycan antibodies disclosed and described in the present description provide important diagnostic and therapeutic tools that act on the pathogenesis associated with the expression of atherosclerosis plaques. Accordingly, the present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising the MAbs of the present invention or fractions thereof for therapeutic and diagnostic uses associated with cardiovascular disease. In particular, the present invention relates to fractions derived from MAbs that recognize sulfatides and sulfated proteoglycans that can be used in the treatment or diagnosis of this etiology. |
