Antibodies to Human CN1 and Uses thereof |
abstract |
The present invention transforms a mammalian host cell with a nucleic acid vector encoding a CCN1 or a CCN1 domain thereof (CCN1 fusion protein) fused to a mammalian cell transmembrane domain at the C-terminus, and fusion of the CCN1 or CCN1 domain in the host cell. A method of recombinantly expressing a mammalian cell membrane-bound human CCN1 or a CCN1 domain thereof in a mammalian cell, characterized by expressing the protein and recovering the membrane-bound CCN1 or CCN1 domain thereof. The invention also relates to the use of said membrane-bound CCN1 and domains for the production of antibodies. Antibodies against human CCN1 are useful for the treatment of diseases. |
