abstract |
An apparatus and method for preventing ballast water freezing are provided. An exchange line connected to contact ballast water by supplying the heated cooling water through at least one ballast tank through the ship's cooling heat exchanger to contact ballast water, and a control valve for selectively opening and closing the heat exchange line. And a freezing point sensor for sensing the freezing point of the ballast water, a control unit for supplying the cooling water to the ballast tank by opening a control valve when the ballast water reaches the freezing point by receiving a signal from the freezing point sensor, and introduced into the ballast tank. It may include a discharge unit for discharging the flow rate corresponding to the flow rate of the cooling water. |
