abstract The present invention relates to a recombinant microorganism having a butanol generating ability and a method for producing butanol using the same, and more particularly, to a recombinant microorganism for preparing butanol using n-butyrate as a substrate and a method for producing butanol using the same. Recombinant microorganism according to the present invention (a) in a microorganism having a fatty acid metabolic pathway, a gene encoding an enzyme that converts butyryl-CoA to acetyl-CoA and an enzyme that regulates the expression of genes involved in fatty acid metabolism Gene deletion; (b) a native promoter comprising attenuator of a gene encoding an enzyme that converts fatty acids to acyl-CoA is replaced with a strong promoter; And (c) a gene encoding an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of butanol from butyrate is introduced. Unlike the existing Clostridium acetobutylicum , the recombinant microorganism according to the present invention is easy to grow and is useful as an industrially produced microorganism of butanol because of the high possibility of strain improvement due to additional metabolic flow manipulation.
