titleOfInvention Process for removing dimethylamine
abstract Before and / or during and / or after deacylation in a reaction vessel of a feed stream comprising sucralose-6-acylate derived from chlorination of sucrose-6-acylate in the presence of dimethylformamide (DMF) A method of removing dimethylamine (DMA) in which the deacylation is carried out under a first set of conditions of temperature, pH and pressure, the method comprising: (a) providing a side stream loop to enter and exit the reaction vessel; step; (b) adjusting the conditions of the one or more temperatures, pH, and pressure in the loop, and also setting the flow rate through the loop to remove DMA while minimizing carbohydrate decomposition.
