(a2) containing at least 90 wt% of zircon aggregate particles comprising less than 50 wt% of monoclinic phase and having at least 90 wt% of (a3) zircon particles having a size of less than 50 μm; (A) comprising at least 92% zircon particles comprising at least 15%; (b) 1% to 2% silica particles having a size of less than 50 μm; (c) particles consisting of one, two, or three oxides selected from the group consisting of CaO, MgO, and Y 2 O 3 , wherein at least 55 wt% of the additional oxide particles are particles having a size of less than 50 μm 0.3 to 5%; (d) a powder comprising less than 1% of particles comprised of "other oxides", said powder comprising more than 5% of zircon aggregate particles having a size greater than 1 mm, having a size of less than 15 μm, 8% to 20% of zircon matrix particles including monoclinic phase for greater than 95%. The present invention can be used in a reactor for producing carbon black. |
