titleOfInvention Implant for insertion into the Schlemm's canal of the eye
abstract Implants for insertion into the Schlemm's canal are proposed, wherein the circular Schlemm's canal is exposed in at least one position and inflated in a circular manner with the inserted flexibly configured microcatheter and simultaneously or subsequently with a polymeric viscoelastic material. The implant 35 insertable into the lumen 16 of the Schlemm's canal 15 has several openings or recesses spaced from each other by a web-shaped ring member 35c and connected to the inner space 35e, and an arc shape. It consists of an elongated tubule having a surface 35b 'and having at least one axially extending contiguous connection 35b which, in the inserted state, rests against the inner wall 16' of the lumen 16. A single opening or recess 35a forms a direct and permanently open connection between the trabecular tissue 18 and each of the small channels 21 ', 22' of the corresponding channel system 20 ', so that Natural fibrous discharge into the bloodstream via the venous vein system is realized.
