The present invention is a method of decomposing ammonia to obtain hydrogen, which is capable of producing hydrogen by efficiently generating heat inside the reactor efficiently and stably using a calorific value without excessive heating from outside the reactor. We propose a catalyst that can. In addition, the present invention provides a technique for efficiently decomposing ammonia to produce hydrogen. The hydrogen production catalyst of the present invention is characterized by comprising an ammonia combustion catalyst component and an ammonia decomposition catalyst component. In addition, another hydrogen production catalyst of the present invention is characterized by including at least one metal element selected from the group consisting of cobalt, iron, nickel and molybdenum. |
