titleOfInvention | Use of TB1, MB1, AT1 or RA1 for the treatment of fungal infections |
abstract | The present invention is the use of an inhibitor against a protein or gene of Tco1, Mbp1, Atf1 or Ras1 of Cryptococcus neoformans for the preparation of an antifungal agent, an antifungal pharmaceutical composition comprising the inhibitor, an effective amount of the inhibitor Provided is a method for treating a fungal infection comprising administering to a subject. In the present invention, the hypersensitivity of the genes in the HOG pathway of Cryptococcus neoforms to the known antifungal agent is investigated. It is newly found to increase. Inhibition of the Tco1, Mbp1, Atf1 or Ras1 genes can significantly increase the efficacy of nucleic acid synthesis inhibitory antifungal agents, such as Tco1, Mbp1, Atf1 or Ras1 of Cryptococcus neoforms. An antifungal pharmaceutical composition comprising an inhibitor against a gene or a protein encoded by the same can be used as an excellent complex antimicrobial therapeutic agent that can increase the efficacy while reducing the use amount of a nucleic acid synthesis inhibitory antifungal agent. |
