abstract |
A heating member for heating the toner image formed on the recording medium using a colorable toner comprising a binder resin, a coloring compound containing a coloring compound and a developer, and having a capsule structure covered by an outer shell; A pressing member which press-contacts said heating member to form a nip, and supports and conveys a recording medium in cooperation with said heating member; A temperature controller for controlling the temperature of the heating member to a temperature below the concentration retention limit temperature of the toner and above a melting limit temperature of the toner; An image forming apparatus comprising a conveying control unit for controlling a conveying speed at the nip portion of a recording medium so that the time required for the recording medium to pass through the nip portion is 100 msec or more. |
