The present invention relates to an adapter for nucleic acid sequencing. Adapters can be used to generate single stranded nucleic acid constructs for sequencing purposes. Such constructs may contain both strands from double stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) or ribonucleic acid (RNA) templates. The invention also relates to constructs produced using adapters, methods of making adapters and constructs, as well as methods of sequencing double stranded nucleic acids. |
