abstract |
The present invention relates to novel compounds represented by the following formula (1) and uses thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to a novel thiazolidinedione derivative represented by the following Chemical Formula 1 and a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same. The novel thiazolidinedione derivatives of Formula 1 according to the present invention exhibit an activity of inhibiting 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH) that degrades prostaglandins, thereby preventing cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases and kidney diseases. It can be effectively used for prevention or treatment, can be effectively used for preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth, as well as promoting bone formation and treating burns. |
