abstract Branch line coupler is disclosed. The branch coupler includes two main transmission lines and two branch lines connecting between the two main transmission lines. In addition, the two main transmission lines located between the branch lines are such that the two main transmission lines are connected to the characteristic impedance of the branch lines. It includes an open stub, set to have twice the characteristic impedance and to have the same electrical distance as the branch line. By adding an open stub to the main transmission line of the branch line coupler as described above, the length and line width of the main transmission line can be reduced, thereby reducing the size of the branch line coupler.
