The present invention relates to a novel hydrogenase isolated from a highly thermophilic new strain belonging to the genus Thermococcus , a gene encoding the same, and a method of producing hydrogen using the same. According to the hydrogen production method of the present invention, it is possible to produce a large amount of hydrogen only by culturing the strain under specific culture conditions, which is economical and efficient compared to the existing hydrogen production method, and has the advantage of producing hydrogen even at high temperatures. . |
