Certain compounds are provided herein. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising at least one compound and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable vehicles. A method of treating a patient suffering from certain diseases and disorders responsive to the inhibition of KMO activity, the method comprising administering to the patient an amount of at least one compound effective to reduce the signs or symptoms of the disease or disorder. Is initiated. Such diseases include neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington's disease. Also disclosed is a method of treatment comprising administering at least one compound as a single active agent, or administering at least one compound in combination with one or more other therapeutic agents. Also provided are methods for screening compounds that can inhibit KMO activity. |
