The present invention relates to dermal micro-organs (DMOs), their production methods and devices. The present invention also provides a DMO comprising a plurality of dermal constituents that substantially maintain the microstructure of the tissue or organ from which they are derived and the tertiary structure of the dermal tissue from which the DMO comprises insufficient nutrients and In order to minimize the cytotoxicity resulting from the accumulation of waste and thus killing, it has a size selected to allow passive diffusion of appropriate nutrients and gases into the DMO cells and cellular waste out of the MO cells. In addition, the present invention provides a method and apparatus for collecting DMO.
