The present invention obtains a nonionic copolymer having reactive terminal OH groups by polymerizing monomers (A), (B), (C) and (D), and subsequently converting the terminal OH groups to anionic terminal groups. Possible anionic modified copolymers, wherein (A) is a monomer of formula (I), (B) is a monomer of formula (II), and (C) is an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an aromatic group , (D) is an ethylenically unsaturated monomer containing an alkyl radical: (I) [Formula II] Where A is C 2 -C 4 -alkylene, B is C 2 -C 4 -alkylene other than A, R is hydrogen or methyl, D is C 3 -alkylene, o is 2 to 500. |
