abstract |
The present invention provides polypeptides having complex amino acid sequences derived from consensus sequences representing capsid proteins of two or more circulating strains of non-enveloped viruses. In particular, the present invention provides virus-like particles comprising at least one complex polypeptide. Such virus-like particles have antigen epitopes of two or more circulating strains of non-enveloped viruses and increase antiserum cross reactivity to one or more circulating strains of non-enveloped viruses. A method of making a vaccine formulation comprising complex virus-like particles and complex virus-like particles is disclosed. |
