titleOfInvention | Novel reagents and methods for conjugation of biological molecules |
abstract | The present invention relates to novel reagents and novel conjugating methods of biological molecules, in particular proteins and peptides. Many compounds of formula II are applied. For example, it can be used for direct clinical application to a patient, and thus the present invention further provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising the novel compound of formula (II) together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The invention also provides a method of treating a patient comprising administering to the patient a pharmaceutically effective amount of the new compound of formula II and the new compound of formula II or the pharmaceutical composition according to the invention for therapeutic use. . Any desired pharmaceutical effect can be obtained by selecting appropriate biological molecules such as trauma treatment, enzyme replacement, protein replacement, wound treatment, toxin removal, anti-inflammatory, anti-infection, immunomodulation, vaccination or anticancer, etc. . Compounds of formula (II) may include contrast agents that enable tracking of compounds in vivo, such as radionucleotides. The compounds of formula II can also be used in nonclinical applications. For example, many bioactive compounds, such as enzymes, allow for catalytic reactions in organic solvents, and compounds of formula II can be used in such applications. Moreover, compounds of formula II can be used as diagnostic tools. |
