Microstructure Formation Method |
abstract |
This specification describes methods of forming articles and microstructures. The method includes providing a substrate having a structured surface area that includes one or more recessed features having a recessed surface. The structured surface area is substantially free of plateau. The method includes placing a fluid composition containing a functional material and a liquid onto a structured surface area. The method includes evaporating a liquid from the fluid composition. The functional material collects on the recessed surface such that the remaining structured surface area is substantially free of functional material. |
