abstract |
A substrate for artificial leather comprising a nonwoven fabric structure of an ultrafine long fiber bundle. The artificial leather base material has the following conditions (1) to (4): (1) Ultrafine long fiber bundles in which 8 to 70 ultrafine long fibers having a substantially round cross-sectional shape are bundled; (2) Ultrafine long fiber bundle having a cross-sectional area of 170 to 700 µm 2 and flatness of 4.0 or less, (3) In any cross section parallel to the thickness direction of the nonwoven fabric structure, the cross section of the ultrafine long fiber bundle exists in the range of 1500-3000 piece / mm <2>, and (4) In any cross section parallel to the thickness direction of the nonwoven fabric structure, it satisfies simultaneously that the pore size between the ultrafine fiber bundles is 70 µm or less. Since the above conditions are satisfied, the artificial leather base material combines both the performance of the emotional surface and the performance in the physical property, which have been conventionally recognized to be opposite performances, at a high level. |
